Commodity prices not delivering ‘big windfalls’ in recent years

Judo Bank Chief Economic Advisor Warren Hogan says commodity prices have not been delivering “big windfalls” like they used to in recent years.

Mr Hogan joined Sky News host Danica De Giorgio to discuss the inflation rate.

“What it is that is delivering the revenue is income tax increases.

“Because of bracket creep and the strength of employment growth in the economy, the strong population growth we’re seeing with people getting jobs.

“Their income tax receipts have gone through the roof literally in the last few years.”
